PURPOSE:To provide an actuator which can be easily controlled by disposing an elastic contraction element and a spring with a movable member interposed therebetween between fixed ends, whereby axial movement obtained by supplying fluid to the elastic contraction element is converted to rotary motion by movable member to be output. CONSTITUTION:An elastic contraction element 10 and a spring 14 are disposed, with a movable member 17 interposed therebetween between fixed portions 16a, 16b. The elastic contraction element 10 is chanted in its axial length by discharging and supplying fluid, so that axial motion is input to the movable member 17. The movable member 17 comprises a device having a function of converting from rectilinear motion to a rotary motion by using a spiral ball screw, whereby the driving force input from the elastic contraction element 10 is changed to rotary motion to be output. As the output of e elastic contraction element 10 is proportioned to the pressure of fluid supplied, the output can be easily controlled. |
