PURPOSE:To reduce the occurrence rate of knocking, by a method wherein the degree of acceleration during detection of knocking is detected, and the value of an ignition time is corrected based on a correction value determined according to the degree of acceleration and the number of revolutions of an engine. CONSTITUTION:After, during operation of a vehicle, the current number of revolutions and a suction air pressure are calculated by an MPU 18, an acceleration decision value responding to the number of revolutions is researched from a map in an ROM 17, and it is decided according to the decision value whether or not it is in an acceleration state. When an acceleration state is decided, a correction value in an acceleration state is calculated from a map in an RAM 16, and the value of an ignition time used for control is calculated according to the correction value. When the occurrence of knocking is decided from an output from a knock sensor 7, knock strength is calculated, an angle of delay amount is determined according to the knock strength, the result is added to a correction value researched from a map in the RAM 16, and the value of an ignition time is calculated as a new correction value. |
