PURPOSE:To connect securely two photoconductor rods having the same diameter with a decreased light loss by working protective tubes for said rods into a prescribed shape and filling an optical matching oil into the spacing between the rods. CONSTITUTION:The 1st photoconductor rod 10 consists of a core part 11 and a clad layer 12. The 2nd photoconductor rod 20 consists of a core part 21 and a clad layer 22. The two photoconductor rods have an approximately equal diameter. The 1st protective tube 13 to be inserted to the core part 11 of the 1st rod 10 and the 2nd protective tube 23 to be inserted to the core part 21 of the 2nd rod 20 are provided. One of the tubes 13, 23 projects by a size l1 from the rod 10 and the rod 20 projects by a size l2 from the other so as to make condition in l1>l2 when the two tubes are inserted to the core parts of the rods 10, 20. Gel-like adhesive agents 14, 24 having the refractive index smaller than the refractive index of the core parts are coated on the surfaces of the rods 10, 20 and the optical matching oil 30 is injected into the spacing between the front end 11a of the core 11 and the front end 21a of the core 21, by which the cores are adhered. |
