Trailers 2 adapted to be towed on the road by conventional tractor units are mounted for rail transport on bogies, each bogie having a chassis 5 with two vertically movable coupling members comprising pins that engage with openings 9 near the ends of the trailers. Each bogie supports the adjacent ends of two trailers.
