PURPOSE:To enable stable operation without loosing energy saving effect, by introducing the vapor of a low b.p. component discharged from the top of a distillation tower into a compressor and a condenser in parallel. CONSTITUTION:The vapor of a low b.p. component discharged from a tower top line 3 is distributed to the line 8 in the side of a compressor and the line 6 in the side of a condenser 5 provided in a parallel to said line 8 for the purpose of controlling the quantity of heat supplied to a distillation tower 2. As a result, the thermal stability of a heat pump distillation system can be achieved by utilizing the quantity of heat of the tower top vapor withdrawn in parallel without being sucked into the compressor 7 and compression power can be reduced as compared with the distillation by a conventional heat pump system for sucking the all amount of the tower top vapor to compress and cool the same. Further, by controlling the amount of the vapor introduced into the condenser 5, stable distillation operation having good thermal response can be realized.
