PURPOSE:To prevent an engine stall, by releasing a fuel cut, when a speed detection value decreases to a fuel cut release set value or less, and changing at least this set value in accordance with a detection value of cooling water temperature. CONSTITUTION:An engine provides an instruction means 21 generating a fuel cut instruction in the all temperature regions under the condition that a detection value by a speed detecting means 15 is in a fuel cut set value or more when a vehicle is placed in a deceleration condition by an engine brake. While the engine, providing an instruction means 22 generating a fuel cut release instruction when the speed detection value decreases to a fuel cut release set value or less, controls a fuel cut means 6 in accordance with an output of these instruction means 21, 22. And said fuel cut release set value is constituted so that it can be changed by a set value changing means 23 in relation to the detection water temperature by a water temperature detecting means 16.
