PURPOSE:To check the strain state of an object to be checked with one operation by providing an analyzing part freely movably relatively with respect to a polarizing part which projects a linearly polarized wave and connecting a photographing part to the analyzing part and forming the overall image of the object to be checked. CONSTITUTION:This strain checker consists of a polarizing part 2 which generates a linearly polarized wave 1 and projects it in a certain direction, a freely movable holding part 4 which is adjacent to the polarizing part 2 and holds a transparent object 3 to be checked, an analyzing part 5 which is provided independently to convert the polarized wave 1 to a bright and dark pattern based on an optical path difference, and an image pickup part 6 which photographs the light from the analyzing part 5. The polarizing part 2 is provided with a portable box-shaped object 7, light sources 8 arranged in many stages in the height direction, and one polarizing plate 9, and the uniform polarized wave 1 is projected to the external from only the whole of the surface in the side of the plate 9. If there is a strain due to the internal stress of the object 3 when the object 3 is checked by this constitution, the optical path difference is generated between component waves of the polarized wave 1, and the optical image on a film is a bright and dark pattern, and therefore, this photograph is analyzed to obtain quantitatively the strain state of the inside of the object 3. |
