The quantity of liquid injected in a heat generating apparatus during the expansion process is cooled by approx. 2 DEG K, and must be brought again to the original temperature level. If no other heat source is available, it is also possible to make use of the atmospheric air as a heat dispenser. Because of the poorly rectilinear temperature gradient, this requires a large heat exchange surface. A heat exchanger would be too expensive for the indirect heat exchange. In accordance with the invention, the liquid to be heated up is brought by means of injection into an air current directly into immediate contact therewith, in which case a large heat exchange surface is formed and a large heat exchange coefficient results.
