PURPOSE:To achieve the reduction of wear by combining a cylinder in which oil receiving grooves of a special pattern are arranged, and a seal ring on which the mixed powder of Fe-C-Cr alloy powder and Mo powder is plasma- sprayed. CONSTITUTION:In the sliding surface 2 of a cylinder liner 1, SiC particles 5 are uniformly embedded in spiral crossing grooves 3 and plateau parts 4 in the embedded area percentage of about 6%, and it is so constituted that the occupied area percentage of the plateau parts surrounded by crossing grooves is about 80%, and the maximum surface roughness is 3mum. On the other hand, the mixed powder of Fe-C-Cr alloy powder and Mo powder is plasma-sprayed in grooves engraved on the outer circumferential surface of a piston ring 8 of modular graphite cast iron. The lapping work is performed so that the thick ness of layer sprayed with the mixed powder is 180mum, and the surface rough ness is 0.5-1.5mum. |
