The combined rowing and paddling boat (Canadian rowing canoe) can be propelled on the water with oars, skulls or single-bladed paddles. Runners with sliding seats and stretchers are displaceable transversely to the boat axis and are releasably connected to the boat. The rowlocks are likewise releasably connected to the boat. The hull has a Canadian canoe profile in the longitudinal direction and is built on U-shaped ribs. The Canadian rowing canoe combines the favourable features of the rowing boat with those of the Canadian canoe and is especially suitable for touring excursions on natural stretches of water. The crew can change over from rowing to paddling and vice versa on the water. The boat has a very stable floating position, can be safely handled on the water and can be carried by the crew.
