摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the variation in the concentration of zinc ions in a positive electrolyte, which contains low concentrations of bromine and its complex compound and is contained in a positive-side storage container, and increase the charging electric energy of a zinc-bromine battery by supplying the positive electrolyte into a negative-side storage container through the first connection pipe and supplying the negative electrolyte into the positive-side storage container through the second connection pipe. CONSTITUTION:The positive and the negative reaction containers 10a and 10b of a zinc-bromine battery are separated from each other by means of a separator film 20. A positive electrolyte and a negative elerectrolyte 16b from a positive-side and a negative-side storage container 22 and 24 are circulated through the reaction containers 10a and 10b by means of pumps 30 and 42 respectively. A first connection pipe 50 for controlling the liquid level is installed between the storage containers 22 and 24. A second connection pipe 52 is installed between a negative pipe 40 and the narrowed flow path 54 of a positive pipe 28 to produce a pressure difference between the pipe 40 and the flow path 54, thereby automatically supplying the negative electrolyte 16b into the reaction container 10a. The upper low-concentration portion of the positive electrolyte 16a in the storage container 22 is supplied into the storage container 24 through the connection pipe 50 according to the difference between the levels of the positive electralyte 16a in the container 22 and the negative electrolyte 16b in the container 24.
