PURPOSE:To remove a switch exclusively used for a clear and to reduce a cost by clearing a content of a memory when a specific character is inputted in a predetermined column of a data by an inputting means for inputting a character stored in a memory means. CONSTITUTION:In case of clearing a data stored in a RAM8, a memory mode is selected by using a switch S3 and a writing mode is selected by operating a switch S2. Then, by operating a switch SA or SB, a data storing register of the RAM8 is searched in a positive and a negative directions and a data to be cleared is displayed on a display section 2. By operating the switch S1, at a first character section of a character display section, for instance '-' is inputted. Then, a switch SL is operated, a setting is done at a first column of a designated data memory section of the RAM8, and by operating the switch S2 and changing over from a writing mode to a reading mode, a processing is asked for a clear processing routine. |
