Apparatus for assisting discharge of bulk particulate material from a receptacle (3) comprises a pipe-like duct element (1) which is open towards a wall of the receptacle and which serves for pulsed compressed air feed and distribution. The element (1) is provided with distance pieces (1.2) which space the element from the wall of the receptacle (3). Air issuing from the element penetrates into particulate material which lies above or around the element so as to fluidise the material and also sets the element into deflection movement. The deflection of the element end is limited by a yoke (2).
