<p>The invention relates to a process for blocking running water which has a high flow rate and a high speed in natural and artificial underground openings, and galleries of the channel and tunnel type by means of closure. The process according to the invention may be characterized in that granular loose solid material accumulates in the tunnel- or channel-type gallery cross section which has to be blocked, on the upstream side of the partial dam (barrage) which has been prepared using known methods, and in that the material is incorporated by being shot into the flow of water. After the concentration of solid material in suspension which gives rise to plugging has been achieved, a blocking plug is established in the constriction and this is reinforced by means of injection carried out rapidly.</p> |
