<p>PURPOSE:To attain the easy input of information even with a writing tool, a finger, etc. by inducing the voltage at an area which is affected by the voltage of a transparent voltage layer, specifying the coordinates of said voltage induced area through a pair of transparent electrodes and then applying voltage through a pair of electrodes to display said coordinates in a light emitting pattern. CONSTITUTION:N pieces of thin-edge electrodes are arrayed in stripes for X direction electrodes 102 and 204; while M pieces of thin-edge electrodes are arrayed in stripes for Y direction electrodes 104 and 202 respectively. The voltage is produced at an area the pressure of a transparent voltage layer 103 is applied with the pressure of a writing tool, a finger, etc. The coordinates of the voltage induced area are specified by the electrodes 102 and 104. The information on the voltage induced area is stored successively to a memory 24 and transferred to a display electrode selecting circuit 26 for control of the current given from a DC power supply 28. Then the voltage is applied to the coordinate position of an electric field light emitting layer 203 corresponding to a position in response to the information. An electric field affects the layer 203 for emission of light.</p> |
