Immobilising biological cpds. on nylon surfaces - by adsorption of di:amine, reaction with di:functional cpd. then coupling useful as immunoassay reagents

A biologically active cpd. (I) is immobilised on the surface of nylon by first adsorbing onto the surface a prim. aliphatic diamine (II), used neat or as a conc. soln. (II) is then reacted with a difunctional reagent (III) and finally coupled with (I). Also new are assay kits contg. nylon beads on which is immobilised, by this method, an enzyme-labelled analyte (or analogue).
