PURPOSE:To improve the operability of a CRT data input device by supplying plural input data items displayed on a CRT screen with extraction of an input guide corresponding to the selection and storing the input guide together with the input data items. CONSTITUTION:A user touches the desired one of plural input data items displayed on a screen of a CRT10 by means of a light pen 11, the address conversion is carried out at a CRT input/output control part 12 for the position of said input data item. Then an input guide corresponding to an address is extracted out of an input guide part 14 through an input auxiliary part 13 and displayed on the CRT10. Thus the user performs the input of data through a keyboard based on the displayed input guide. The input data and the address showing the input data item are converted into the computer internal codes through a CRT input/output control part 12 and the part 13 respectively and stored to a temporary memory 15 to undergo the data processing.
