摘要

The obtaining of hybridomas which produce specific monoclonal antibodies for Potato Virus X, and production of the said antibodies and their characterisation is described. Using these monoclonal antibodies disease caused by X virus in the various plants affected by it can be detected quickly, easily and reliably by rapid tests in which an extract of the plant which is suspected of suffering from the disease is subjected to an antigen- antibody interaction.
