[Also in Division F1] In a radial cylinder pump, piston members 27 are reciprocated by an eccentric, the throw of which is variable in accordance with the output pressure. A ring member 13 surrounds an eccentric portion 12 of drive-shaft 7 and at each end has inclined faces 14, 15, which are engaged by inclined faces 16, 17 on annular members 18, 19, slidably supported on enlarged surfaces 10, 11 of the eccentric portion 12. The members 18, 19 are engaged by spring washers 20, 21, the other ends of which engage fixed shoulders 22, 23. The member 13 is surrounded by a thrust ring 24 which engages the pistons 27 which in turn engage deformable members 28 in the cylinders. Increased pressure in the cylinders displaces the member 13 radially towards a position concentric with the shaft 7, the members 18, 19 sliding axially against the restoring force of the spring washers 20, 21. |
