摘要 PURPOSE:To execute a color correction corresponding to the type of masks and to obtain an optimum color picture image by detecting the non-picture image area of a negative and providing and setting at least two tables for converting RGB data into color picture image data corresponding to the mask state. CONSTITUTION:The RGB data from a line sensor 10 is converted into digital RGB data by an A/D converter 22. Then a color spliting circuit 23 splits the RGB data into each color data, R data (eight bits), G data (eight bits) and B data (eight bits). A microprocessor 25 reads out data stored in line memories 24R, 24B and 24G to decide the non-picture image area, judges its mask state and transmits the selection command of conversion data for generating the optimum color picture image data to a gamma converting circuit 26. Then a dither circuit 27 decides the half tone, that is, the gradation of the generated color picture image data. A data selector 28 sorts out the color picture image data, namely, Y, M, C and BK data, which are transmitted to a color printer 2.
