PURPOSE:To keep a white balance automatically by a light source for an object always using an optical system for a photographing lens by providing a condenser lens for white balance, a white diffusion filter and a light transmission member which transfers a light that passes through the white diffusion filter to a colorimetry element, along with a camera lens system. CONSTITUTION:A surrounding light from an object 7 and an object light source 8 is conducted to an image picking-up device 2 by a photographing lens optical system 21 and is converged by a condenser lens 22 for an automatic white balance adjusting device and becomes a white diffusion light approximately by a white diffusion natured filter 23. A light transmission member 24 transfers this to a colorimetry element 25 which detects components of a red (R) and a blue (B) and they are added to a color temperature detecting system 26 and the balance of these two color components is detected here. Various control signals in proportion to the ratio of the R signal and the B signal produced in a calibration system 27 are added to a picture signal processing circuit 28 and control the gain of the R and the B signal respectively same as the conventional white balance processing circuit systems do.
