PURPOSE:To increase printing speed by connecting control means that control each recording head in series, and by starting to drive the recording head in the following stage by a stop signal for driving of a recording head in the preceding stage. CONSTITUTION:A recording device 101 is connected with a host system 100 by a data line, and data from the host system 100 is put into an interface 111. The output data line of the interface 111 is connected to a microprocessor 110 and a head controller 112, and transmission and conversion of data between them are controlled by the microprocessor 110. The head controller 112 converts the recording data received into driving data which correspond to physical arrangement and mainly to electricity application time for driving of the recording head elements, and the recording head 114 is driven by the above output through the head driver 113. On the other hand, the head driver 113 converts the output of the head controller 112. The above makes recording to be feasible without any burden to a microprocessor or a host system. |
