PURPOSE:To make it possible to correspond to the enhancement of transfer efficiency and the acceleration of a transfer speed by making it possible to applying a transfer material in a uniform thickness and a predetermined coating width and making the thickness of a coating layer thin while preventing a substrate from generating wrinkles or twist, by allowing a substrate to oppose to a supply means in close vicinity to each other and coating the transfer material to the substrate side from the supply mean side by surface tension. CONSTITUTION:A turning roller 21 is arranged so as to be opposed to a supply roller 24 at an opposed interval of 0.3-0.6mm and the molten ink supported by the surface of the supply roller 24 is easily and uniformly applied to an ink sheet 5 by the action of surface tension. Because the turning roller 21 is formed of a heat insulating material, said roller 21 is always held to ink melting temp. or more by radiant heat. A round rod shaped correction rod 25 having heat resistance is arranged to the downstream side of the nip between both rollers 21, 24. The ink layer on the ink sheet 15 is prescribed by said correction rod 25 so as to be formed into a thin and smooth layer and, because the length between the wire wound parts 252 of said rod 25 is set so as to be same to a predetermined ink coating width, said ink layer is regulated in its width without exceeding said coating width W. |
