PURPOSE:To perform the protection and polyshing of the recording surface of recording paper, by forming a transparent layer to the recording surface of the recording paper to which thermal transfer recording was applied. CONSTITUTION:An ink sheet feed roller 6 and a paper feed roller 12 are driven so as to be respectively rotated to counterclockwise and clockwise directions in order to allow the yellow 2Y of an ink sheet 2 to pass through the nip of a thermal head 4 and a platen 5 along with recording paper 10 at an almost same speed to perform the thermal transfer of the yellow 2Y. The feed roller 6 is once stopped and the paper feed roller 12 is driven to be rotated to a counterclockwise direction for a predetermined time to unwind the recording paper 10 fed at the transfer time of yellow by the feed amount thereof. The thermal transfer of magenta 2M is performed in such a state that the magenta M of the ink sheet 2 is superposed to the recording paper 10. Further, the thermal transfer of cyan 2C is performed. At last, transparent wax 2W is thermally transferred to the entire surface of the recording paper 10. |
