PURPOSE:To prevent a core from being displaced when a hilt is molded, by inserting the blade and the core of a knife or the like that are integrally formed between a pair of molds, placing the core in the cavity of the molds, securing the core by a pair of support pins, and injecting a melted resin into the cavity. CONSTITUTION:After a blade S is attached to a stationary mold, the molds are closed, and the inner surfaces of the stationary mold 1 and the movable mold 2 are brought in firm contact. Thereafter, when a melted resin is injected from a gate 32 of a base plate 3 on the side of the movable mold 2, the melted resin reaches a cavity 30 via a resin path 33 in the movable mold 2, resulting in a hilt H around a core B. In the cavity 30, since the core B is held between a pair of support pins 24, 34 opposed and projecting from injection recesses 20, 29 in the stationary mold 1 and the movable mold 2, the core B is secured and would not be displaced when the hilt H is molded. |
