PURPOSE:To obtain a novel zeolite having a prescribed composition, X-ray lattice spacing, crystallite diameter and a large adsorbing quantity by heating the prescribed zeolite at <=80 deg.C in an alkaline aqueous solution. CONSTITUTION:Zeolite having the prescribed lattice spacing is heated at <=80 deg.C in the alkaline aqueous solution to obtain novel zeolite having the composition of 0.8-2M2/nO.Al2O3.10-30SiO2.WH2O (wherein, M: positive ion, n: valence of M, W: O or a positive number) and indicating the prescribed lattice spacing and <=1,000Angstrom crystalline diameter. This zeolite in the state of sodium type indicates >=8wt% of adsorbing quantity for cyclohexane at 25 deg.C, 47mm Hg pressure.
