PURPOSE:To make it possible to provide an arbitrary number of blank lined in the vicinity of the head or end of each page of printing paper, by controlling the printing start line and printing finish line of each page of the printing paper on the basis of printing positional information. CONSTITUTION:A number of non-printed lines not only in the vicinity of the head of the odd number page of printing paper but also in the vicinity of the end of the even number page thereof are set to a printing position setting part. A control part 42 intializes a printing line counter to (set value set to setting part 43+1) and indicates the line feed only of the number of lines set to the set value set to the setting part 43 to a printing mechanism part 13. Printing data or control information only corresponding to one recording is taken in from a data receiving part 11, at the time of a new page code, it is judged whether the value of the line counter is equal to or less than the number of lines of one page and, when the value of the counter is larger, the line feed of {(number of lines of one page) X 2 - (value of line counter) + 1 + (set value of setting part 43)} is indicated. Next, the line counter is initialized. When the value of the counter is smaller, line feed is performed by {(number of line of one page) - (value of line counter) + 1} and the value of the line counter is set to {(number of lines) + 1}. |
