PURPOSE:To enable printing of many copies by laminating a thermal transfer layer on a substrate in such a manner for the transfer layer to abut on the surface of a plate material for lithographic printing, and by heat transferring the layer onto the surface of plate material for lithographic printing with heat being supplied from the side of the substrate and, at the same time, by setting the transferred thermosetting resin. CONSTITUTION:A substrate supports a thermal transfer layer and, in addition, transmits the heat given to the substrate to the transfer layer. Paper, cloth, synthetic resin film, etc. are used for the substrate. The thermal transfer layer consisting of thermosetting resin and hardening agent does not thoroughly become hardened, and is capable of being formed into a shape of a sheet or film. The substances that do not swell or dissolve in drying oils, petro leum solvents, etc. after thermosetting such as phenol resin, urea resin, epoxy resin, etc. are used for the layer. A hardening agent which is commonly used for thermosetting resin may be satisfactory for use. The thermal transfer layer is mounted abuttingly on the plate material for lithographic printing, and fused with the heat being supplied from the side of the substrate, and heat transferring is carried out on to the plate material for lithographic printing and the thermosetting resin is thermoset, and the plate material for lithographic printing is manufactured. |
