PURPOSE:To attain high resolution with a low noise by controlling a potential of a control electrode region of a selected light sensor cell via a capacitor. CONSTITUTION:Photosensor cells SC1-SCn store an electric charge stimulated by light incidence on a base region. A start pulse PS is inputted to a shift register section 101 and a clock phi1 is inputted succeedingly to the shift register section 101 and a gate electrode of a switching transistor (TR) TR1. The TR TR1 is turned on by the clock phi1, a pulse of a read voltage Vr is outputted from a terminal Sr1 synchronously with the clock phi1 and fed to a capacitor electrode 7 through the TR TR1. Thus, the read operation is executed, the light information signal is read from an emitter electrode 8 of the light sensor cell SC1, amplified by an output amplifier 106 and outputted to an output terminal.
