PURPOSE:To easily high-temperature electric test by heating a metallic layer by flowing a high-frequency current to a high-frequency coil and then applying a voltage to one terminal of a cable which rises in temperature through the heat generation of the metallic layer. CONSTITUTION:Both ends of the cable 1 are terminated so as to enable electric charging and the effective-length part of the cable is wound with the high-frequency coil S. Then, a high-frequency power source 6 is connected across the high-frequency coil S to flow the high-frequency current and then the metallic layer in the cable, e.g. aluminum coating, lead coating or steel tape winding layer generates heat to raise the temperature of the cable on the whole. Then, a lead wire is connected to the upper metallic fixture of a sheath covering one terminal E of the cable 1 which is raised in temperature, e.g. cable terminal and a specific voltage is applied. Consequently, no special conductor lead-out rod is necessary, so the constitution of the cable terminal part is simplified.
