PURPOSE:To enable highly efficient operation, by a method wherein capacity of a compressor is made variable and a control circuit receiving signals of a plurality of remaining hot water quantity detecting sensors of the inside of a hot water storage tank is provided. CONSTITUTION:When hot water supply is performed through a hot water supply pipe 9, water is supplied through a water supply pipe 8 of the lower part and a high-temperature part of the upper part and a low-temperature part of the lower part are separated with some boundary layer from each other, and when a position of a first remaining hot water quantity detecting sensor 10 provided on a lower layer part of a hot water storage tank 5 becomes less than a preset temperature, a control circuit part 12 receives this signal and the compressor 1 is made to operate at low capacity. Now, when the temperature of a second remaining hot water quantity detecting sensor 11 is more than the preset temperature, the compressor 1 is operated under low capacity until a hot water temperature of the inside of the hot water storage tank 5 arrives at completion of a predetermined boiling up state. Then when a supply quantity becomes large and a second remaining hot water quantity detecting sensor 11 becomes less than the preset temperature, the control circuit 12 receives this signal, the compressor is changed over to high capacity operation and the compressor 1 is operated until a hot water temperature of the inside of the hot water storage tank 5 arrives at completion of a predetermined boiling up state. |
