PURPOSE:To improve the characteristic of cathode-ray tube in the caption without causing imperfect focusing by applying D.C. voltage then high frequency voltage prior to emission aging voltage withstanding process following to getter flash. CONSTITUTION:A cathode ray tube arranged with a flittable getter is produced through predetermined process. After getter flash while prior to emission aging voltage withstanding process, 60V D.C. voltage is first applied for 1min between fifth and sixth grids to produce vacuum of 10<-4> Torr. Then high frequency voltage of 15kV at the maximum and 300kHz is applied for 1min. Consequently, imprefect focusing will not occur resulting in improvement of characteristic. |
