PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a spike current by a magnetic head, to remove its adverse influence upon adjacent tracks, and to simplify a circuit and facilitate IC-implementation by forming a recording current having a waveform similar to a desired single-pulse waveform to the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:A circuit part 25i consists of the (i)th head Mi among thin-film recording head provided corresponding to respective tracks of a magnetic head for multitrack recording which forms (n) multitracks at the same time and its driver. Further, recording pulse waveform equivalent circuits 28 and 29 are equipped with a Pch inverter and a resistance, and an Nch inverter and a resistance respectively; and an input signal is weighted to vary its crest value successively and pulses which have pulse width periods without overlapping between adjacent tracks are supplied to the network 25i successively in time series. The network 25i varies the input voltage value according to logical signals applied to terminals 27a and 27b to approximate waveforms of recording currents +I0 and -I0 to the desired single current waveform without reference to whether the head Mi has an inductive load or lead wiring capacitive load, thereby obtaining the recording current. |
