PURPOSE:To measure the water content rate of grains to specific weight accurately by positioning grains in a metering hopper all in an electrode plate, measuring the electric capacity, and displaying the water content rate. CONSTITUTION:Sash weighs of a balance 9 are selected corresponding to specific weight and a discharge magnet 24 is put in operation with a command signal from an electric console panel 7 to close the discharge gate 19 of the metering hopper 8; and a throw-in magnet 4 and an air cylinder 5 are operated with a throw-in start signal to open gates 3 and 3', thereby supplying grains in a throw-in chute 2 to between electrode plate 18 and 18 of the metering hopper 8. When the amount of throw-in grains attains to about 90%, a switch 15 is operated to turns on the magnet 16; and then the operating lever 13 of the balance 9 is released from being locked by a clamping device 17 and the discharge amount of grains from the gate 3' is limited through the air cylinder 5. When the amount of stored grains attains to the specific weight, a switch 14 is operated to close the gates 13 and 13'. The electric capacitor between the electrodes 18 is measured 20 and displayed on an indicator 23 after being converted into the water content rate. |
