PURPOSE:To prevent the growth of frost at the leading edge of the fin and prevent the reduction of heat exchanging amount by a method wherein multiple bent tongues constituted by cutting a fin plate and separating it from the fin plate, are arranged continuously in the orthogonal direction of airflow. CONSTITUTION:The bent tongue piece 7 is arranged so that the three sides thereof are cut and separated from the plate fin 1 at the side near heat transfer tubes under remaining one side thereof, therefore, heat is transferred from the heat transfer tube to the leading edge of the fin under detouring the bent tongue piece 7 as shown by arrow signs in the diagram. As a result, a temperature difference between the leading edge of the fin and heat exchanging air is contracted and the growth of frost at the leading edge of the fin is restricted. Further, the growth of frost, adhered to the lading edge of the fin, is precluded and clogging between the plate fins due to frosting 4 is prevented whereby the surface of the fin is frosted uniformly. Accordingly, the operating time of the heat pump may be elongated remarkably. Airflow, passing through openings 8, is generated between neighboring fins and the mixing of airflow is promoted, therefore, the heat transfer coefficient of the surface of the fin may be improved and the performance of the heat exchanger may be improved. |
