PURPOSE:To shorten the cord between a magnetic detecting element and a substrate and to obtain tolerance to noises by fixing the magnetic detecting element on the substrate, and allowing a fixing member which fixes the substrate to a device body to move to and away from the device body freely. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic detecting element 7 is fixed directly on the main substrate 11 and the cord 10 is made extremely short as the signal line between the element 7 and substrate 11; and the fixing member 130 is provided to fix the substrate 11 to the main body 1 and a magnetic disk 6 is adhered to the collar part 2' of a rotating shaft 2. The cord 10 is extremely short, so the possibility of the breaking of wire is decreased and the quantity of picked-up noises is reduced, so that the reliability is improved. Further, the gap between the magnetic disk 6 and magnetic detecting element 7 is set with a gauge for gap adjustment and then the fixing member 130 is fixed to the main body 1 with a screw to facilitate the gap adjustment.
