PURPOSE:To permit quick operation and facilitate various kind of works by a method wherein a rotary member is provided with an opposing member to oppose against the force of pressure welding for welding a correcting material to the boiler drum. CONSTITUTION:A holding member, holding the correcting material, is provided on the rotary member while the correcting material is pushed against the welded section of the boiler drum by a pushing member. An opposing member, engaged with the boiler drum so as to oppose against the pushing force, is provided on the rotary member, Accordingly, it is not necessary to provide the rotary member with a temperature regulating device in order to regulate the temperature of the correcting material and the temperature regulating device is installed separately from the rotary member, therefore, the weight of device on the rotary member may be lightened and heating efficiency may be improved. On the other hand, it is not necessary to provide the rotary member with the pipeline of cooling water for a heating coil and the pipeline of cooling medium for a cooling device, therefore, the structure of the device may be simplified.
