The invention relates to a new clay pigeon and the process for manufacturing it. This clay pigeon is characterised in that it consists of dry clay made from pressed powder, having a particle size lying between approximately 500 and 700 microns and, optionally, additives, in a proportion of 2 to 6% approximately of the weight of the clay, comprising a stabilising agent to increase mechanical strength and a hydrophobic agent to prevent moisture uptake. Application to the manufacture of clay pigeons.
