The invention relates to an electrical arc cutting device. The device includes a first chamber 12 for arc formation communicating with a second chamber 14 for extinction having deionising metal plates 28. Means of guiding the arc, formed by two series of ribs 50a, 50b arranged symmetrically with respect to the middle plane of the casing and moulded in one piece with the two casing-forming castings 10, are arranged in the first chamber 12. Half-open notches 58a, 58b delimit the ribs 50a, 50b of each series to form ducts for recycling the deionised gases. Application: low-voltage electric circuit breaker. <IMAGE>
