The present invention relates to secateurs/undergrowth-clearing tool which consists of secateurs 1 of conventional type and modified according to the invention. They are fixed on a handle 2 which is a rigid tube made from steel or another material, being from a few centimetres to several metres in length. It is actuated by a movable grip 9 fixed at the other end of the handle 2 which enables these secateurs 1 to penetrate into a clump of thorny plants if it is desired to cut them without being pricked and without bending down, or in order to cut at a height in order to prune trees, for example. The cutting blade 3 of both sides, on the one hand by shearing against the blade 16, on the other hand, in the form of a pruning knife, by pulling. The two branches 4 of the secateurs form pincers for seizing the cut stems or pulling them. One of the two branches 4 ends in a flange 6. This is a very practical tool, of moderate price, which gives good service in agriculture. <IMAGE> |
