PURPOSE:To form a groove which is correct from edge to edge at the bent position of a thin plate by pressing the thin plate onto a table by a guide roller and cutting the groove immediately by a cutting tool, thus preventing the floating-up of the thin plate. CONSTITUTION:A thin plate 46 on the table 2 of a wellknown planing machine is pressed onto the table by a roller 32, and a V-shaped groove is formed onto the thin plate by attaching a cutter 26 onto the plate 46 immediately after the above-described pressing by the roller 32, shifting the table. In this case, the table 2 is moved in reciprocation, and a cutting tool 26 performs cutting work in reciprocation through the turn by 180 deg.. Even on any side for the cutting tool 26, the roller 32 precedes, and the cutting efficiency is improved. |
