The boat hook comprises a pole 8 and a tip 12. The tip 12 can be removed by force from the pole 8. It carries a pivoting hooking finger 36 equipped with a pawl 37 and capable of interacting with a catch 43. The end of a mooring rope 6 may be fixed to a slot 33 of the tip 12. At the beginning, the finger 36 is in the low position away from the catch 43. The finger 36 is introduced into an a mooring hoop 3 which, pressing the pawl 37, brings the finger 36 into the catch 43. By pulling on the pole 8 the tip 12 is disconnected from the pole 8 by action of the hoop 3. The tip 12 remains retained by the finger 36 and the mooring rope 6 is therefore passed through the hoop. Use for double mooring without having to reach the hoop by hand. <IMAGE>
