PURPOSE:An inexpensive liquid crystal display composition which is obtained in a short time at low temperature, and can be mass produced automatically, containing a specific amount of a (bi)phenylcyclohexane liquid crystal compound, and having a spacer to seal liquid crystal between substrates, consisting of an ultraviolet-curing adhesive. CONSTITUTION:The aimed liquid crystal display element containing >=20wt% phenylcyclohexane liquid crystal compound and/or a biphenylcyclohexane liquid crystal compound and using spacers to seal liquid crystal between substrates, consisting of an ultraviolet-curing adhesive. EFFECT:The method can be easily replaced with conventional production method and switching of production unit is rapid.
