PURPOSE:To obtain the Ti alloy excelling in plastic workability and especially in machinability by sintering the mixture of prescribed percentages of the powder of Pb, Bi, Te, S, and MnS and the powder of Ti type metal. CONSTITUTION:One or more kinds among the powder of Pb, Bi, Te, S, and MnS (0.01-5wt% in total) and the balance powder consisting of Ti (alloy) are mixed. The mixture is compacted and sintered in a nonoxidizing atmosphere.
