In a single combination the invention provides a device 1 to 6 which enables artists to set out the paints, have separate clean water for each colour, rinse the brushes in a container provided for this purpose only, and have the right brush ready to hand. Coloured white, the plate-palette is preferably made of porcelain and/or tin-glazed earthenware, since these materials are well suited to the fineness of the pigments used, especially in watercolours. <IMAGE>
