PURPOSE:To improve the collapsing strength of a pelletized body by using as powder for adhesion the powder having a grain size equal to the surface roughness of the pelletized core body or smaller and by carrying out kneading with a binder to be molded. CONSTITUTION:The powder of ilmenite with >=0.1mm grain size is used as the crude grains for the cores of pelletized bodies. The above crude grains, the ferruginous pulverized bodies having a grain size equal to the surface roughness of the crude grains, i.e. 1-10mu, and the binder are mixed and kneaded to be molded. The obtained pellets having superior collapsing strength are charged into a blast furnace to utilize waste resources effectively.
