PURPOSE:To adopt magnetic fluid for the sealing in the liquid or minute-particle environment by installing a gas sealing means onto the boundary surfaces of a plurality of partitioned spaces in which different kinds of media exist. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical permanent magnet 4 is installed onto the pole piece 3 of a sealing unit 2 owing to magnetic fluid, and a magnetic field is applied between a shaft 1 and the pole piece which are made of ferromagnetic material, and the part between the shaft 1 and the pole piece 3 is sealed by the magnetic fluid 5. A gas sealing unit 6 is installed onto the chamber B side of the sealing unit 2, which is insulated from the liquid in the chamber B. Therefore, the magnetic fluid does not contact with the liquid in the chamber B, and the deterioration of each stability of medium and surfactant due to liquid is suppressed, and the magnetic fluid can be adopted for the sealing in the liquid or minute-particle environment. |
