Fume extractor for cooking equipment, which comprises a box 1 having an air extraction opening at the front, communicating with the interior of the box, the latter being connectable to a ventilation duct. The said opening comprises passages 14, 15 which are offset with respect to each other and define a curved air-circulating path for separating out particles entrained by the extracted air. The improvement consists in providing extra passages 17, 18 that are offset with respect to each other at the rear of the box, these passages having a smaller total flow cross section than the passages located at the front, so as to generate an additional weaker airflow along the wall 2 at the rear of the cooking equipment along the bottom 10 of the box, in order to prevent condensation on this wall and on the bottom respectively. <IMAGE> |
