It includes a fibre optic medium for reading consisting of two flat vibrating shanks 1, 2 rigidly fastened to a common plug 3. The latter includes a core 8 slit along two orthogonal planes, and two rings 9, 10 for locking the shanks fast into the slots 13, 14 between pairs of jaws thus contrived. The rings 9, 10 are force fitted onto the ring 8. The fastening of the shanks is rigid and allows very stable vibration frequencies. The scanning device is perfectly suited to microcameras for endoscopy. <IMAGE>
