PURPOSE:To obtain a composition for the oral cavity having raised shelf stability of glycyrrhetinic acids of preventive and remedy for oral cavity diseases, by blending a composition for the oral cavity containing a glycyrrhetinic acid and an anionic surface active agent with a nonionic surface active agent. CONSTITUTION:A composition for the oral cavity containing a glycryrrhetinic acid shown by the formula [R1 is H, or -(CH2)m-CH3; m is 11-19; R2 is H, or -CO-(CH2)n-CH3; n=10-18], or its derivative, and an anionic surface active agent is blended with a nonionic surface active agent, preferably fatty acid alkanolaminde (e.g., lauric acid diethanolamide, myristic acid diethnolamide, etc.). Preferably the amount of the glycyrrhetinic acid is 0.001-5wt%, the amount of the anionic surface active agent is 0.1-5wt%, and the amount of the nonionic surface active agent is 0.1-5wt%. Decomposition of the glycyrrhetinic acid especially during high-temperature preservation can be effectively suppressed. |
